Happy Birthday to my Man

Today my honey bunny turns 28.
I found some of my favorite pictures of John while flipping through the ol' photo albums. What a blast from the past!

This was taken before John and I were dating. We were hanging out with a whole group of friends that night. John could OFTEN be seen carrying around his guitar with him... To serenade the ladies.



This was taken just as we started dating. We took a spur of the moment trip to Ventura. We spent the whole day playing at the beach.




This was taken on MY birthday, which was about a month into our "courtship". John organized a surprise party with all my friends and family at Lake Buena Vista. He spent the whole day giving everyone a turns skiing and tubing.



This was that same day. SEXY!


Like I said, more often then not, John always has his guitar.


When we were dating, I found this dog at my work. It was still a puppy, so I decided to rescue it. I couldn't keep it at my house so John took her in. Despite the fact that she was a total nuisance, John never complained.

On our honeymoon at Niagra Falls. John worked so hard to give me a really nice honeymoon that totally exceeded my expectations.

Daphne's School: Update

So this picture might be hard to see- it's a picture of a picture. On Friday every week, Daphne's teacher puts up a little bulletin of what they have been doing over the week.



I was thoroughly amused by this picture. All the kids are seated around a guinea pig, drawing it. And the guinea pig is just sitting there! Hilarious! This makes me nostalgic of our guinea pig John and I had when we were first married...

Future Gymnast

Daphne started gymnastics last week. So far so good. We're starting her off on once a week and will soon move up to twice a week. Her teacher says she's catching on quick. It's so cute to see her bounce around all over the place. I hope she sticks with it and becomes a really good gymnast. Either that or at least be a really flexible teenager.

We're Gettin Fat Early This Holiday Season!

You guys! It came. It's here. And I have looked through the entire book. TWICE.


I have already made a FEW recipes out of here. You would think that I have my own little bakery or something at the rate I am going through butter, flour, sugar, and eggs.

Just today I had to buy more eggs after John and I realized we were out at breakfast this morning. John actually {and quite seriously} suggested that I buy one of those huge ginormous 5 dozen boxes of eggs. I felt sad for just a second. But then thought about all the stuff I could MAKE with that many eggs!!!

Pumpkin Patch!

So we headed out to Sauvie Island today. Our aim was apple picking, but we couldn't find any farms that were doing that anymore. I guess people don't know how to pick apples so they closed the orchards.


An animal barn! And it was free!












We took the hay ride out to the patch to find the perfect pumpkin. That was free too! Look at the excitement on our faces!





The search for the perfect pumpkin was not an easy one.

She & Him

John and I saw She & Him tonight! We got our tickets kinda late so we were in the mezzanine. It actually looks worse in the pictures than it did in real life.






It was an awesome venue downtown.





Absolutely beautiful.








The pictures aren't all that great, but it gives you the general idea.
